What are Plant Pigments

What is Brown Sugar?

Brown sugar is sucrose sugar with either residual molasses or added molasses. Basically, it is white sugar with molasses. You can find light brown sugar or dark brown sugar. Light brown sugar has a light, subtle flavor and dark brown sugar has a stronger, more molasses flavor. There is also ‘natural brown sugar’, which is free of chemicals and dyes and is produced from the first crystallization of cane sugar, making it high in mineral content.
